Era of sex videos

I just can’t help myself. I promised I wouldn’t comment on this topic but here I am.

Let’s start. This Chito sex tape is getting quite old. I’ve only seen it in the news a few days ago (cuz I rarely pay attention to Pinoy news). There’s apparently a video of their sexual encounter. Someone stole his hard drive and uploaded it online. Voila – they’re a news item. And he’s now got the police involved.

Okay. Comments, anyone?

1. The hard drive was stolen? Really? That’s so outdated. Ain’t that been done and used dozens of times before? Good marketing  and publicity tool I’d say. So who benefits? Is it Chito? But he’s already well-known. So his partner then – whatever her name is. See, it’s her. Cuz now people will know who she is. I still don’t know her. Heard from friends she’s some kind of artista. Not famous at the moment. Well, look at that huh? Goood timing!

2. Couples who make sex videos and complain when they go online are fools. Don’t they know the cardinal rule of the digital age? Everything is recorded and shared. Nothing is private. You don’t want this kind of scandal? Then don’t make one. Private you say? Stupid fools. What era is this?

3. Now you get the NBI involved. Seriously? Has the crime and corruption in the Philippines gotten down to a very low level that the police force has nothing better to do than investigate your mess-up?

I’ll shut up now.

Slooww day at work left me clicking through sites such as PEP. That site seems so quiet when Kris Aquino isn’t in the headlines. Which is how I like it. LOL.

But then their Sunshine Cruz article screams for attention. First of all, catchy title with the mention of rape. Marital Rape- for that matter. They are still married, right? Wait, they are separated but still married and it makes this case really confusing. They’re not living together but Cesar was able to get inside her house and raped her. But as you read on, you might find the reason for the debacle. Children. She’s complaining that Cesar has taken their three kids and that she misses them.

She’s still not getting an annulment though. After what she’s “been through”, she files a case for rape first. One case at a time, she said.

I don’t get it. She separates from her philandering, domineering and abusive husband and she doesn’t file for a divorce or annulment? Then she scream for rape when he won’t give her kids back? And why does everything have to be in the news? Sure they’re all “artistas” and such, but do they really have to blab about it in the press?

One day those kids will read those headlines. ‘Mom was raped, Dad was abusive’. What a nice family they got.

Okay, okay, I really don’t know what I have against Kris Aquino.  Almost everyday there’s an article about her. People are fascinated by her. People love reading how messed up she is. She has (political) power, money and fame. Yet the things that fascinate people are her screw-ups. How can somebody like her still be so fucked up?

Her personal life is a mess. You don’t need a degree in psychology to understand why she hooked up with the likes of Philip Salvador and Joey Marquez. Her marriage to James Yap, that one, needs more digging up to understand why and how it happened.

She’s in the headlines again, nothing new there. What amazes me is what comes out of her mouth every time she tries to convince people to ‘like’ her. In the article: “Kris not back in Joey’s arms“, some businessman who contributes to the Business Section of the Philippine Star, apparently criticized Kris for getting back together with then flame, Joey Marquez. I have to agree with Ricky Lo with this one. That man had no business talking about Kris’ love life. What’s her personal life got to do with the economy? Unless her reuniting with a former partner ignites a catastrophic economic event, those businessmen should also shut the fuck up. I was on Kris’s side on the issue… until she opened her mouth and reacted. :(

She said people must have heard her talking about another Joey but they just assumed it was Mr. Marquez. Okay, so far so good, right? Now this is where I get peeved:

I just wonder why people are so quick to portray me as the malanding nakihiwalay and James as the mabait, naaping asawa? When all of last week ako ang nakabantay kay Bimby in Makati Med when he was confined from Wednesday to Saturday. Walang narinig ang tao from me na akong dakila and James didn’t even offer a peso for medical bills. (Portions deleted by me. — RFL) Kaya lang exhausted na ako with people wanting to just see the worst in me.”

Lemme just talk to Kris right here, right now:

So Kris, you said you’re wondering. Let me tell you why. People see James as the good guy because he’s quiet. He doesn’t go yapping to the press about every fucking deal that’s happening in your lives. That’s just it, he’s quiet. Unlike you. See what you did there in your qoute? You just belittled your son’s father again. For not helping with the bills. You could have just complained about his absence when your son was sick. Instead, all the people would see and hear is the fact that he hadn’t given you a dime.

People will continue to scrutinize your every move because you’re not one of us. Your father was the Philippine hero of the new century, your mother a former president and your brother the current one. So when you go into relationships with men who legally still had wives, have a kid, then get pregnant again with a man ten years younger than you, people WILL talk about you. People will criticize you.

You can’t tell people you’re the good guy and you’re the noble one just because you said so. You can’t tell them “I did this and that so you should be on my side”. It doesn’t work like that. Perception is a powerful tool. People judge on what they see and hear. And what they see is this rich powerful girl who wants the law and public opinion on her side. Not gonna happen, dear. Not in the near future anyways. Cuz you just can’t keep your mouth shut.

I hope this is my last post about her. I doubt that she’d keep quiet. I just hope that I’ll have more restraint next time and not be annoyed enough to rant again. Fingers crossed.

I’d say “hate ‘em”!

Entertainment news, foreign or local, is quite addictive. I get a thrill from reading those Jennifer Aniston haters, or seeing pictures of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner with their kids (so lovely). Local news, i.e., Pinoy news on the other hand – not so much. I said it’s addictive cuz no matter how irritated I get from reading it, I always have to go back and read some more.

I was reading stuff at PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and today’s headlines are exceptionally irritating. Reading about what Willie Revillame said in an interview made me rush in here to write, or rather RANT about it.

By now everybody knows what happened  between Willie and ABS-CBN. But in case you don’t, in a nutshell, here it is: The employee (Willie) felt like he is indispensable and “entitled”. Another employee (Sucaldito) said something he didn’t approve of so he threatened to quit if ‘employee 2′ isn’t fired. Him or Employee 2. That’s his demand. Then he goes on indefinite leave. The viewers were mostly shocked and appalled. Then he says sorry, demanded to have his show back and when they didn’t budge, he held a press conference and said he’s terminating his contract.

First of all, I want to be clear, I’m not taking sides. I don’t care about the both of them. What I do find offensive is his attitude. Here in Korea, if you even conceive of doing that, you’ll get fired immediately. There is no tolerance for arrogance. If you know you are a viable asset to a company, you make demands quietly. What Willie did was a slap in the face of a corporate giant. Even if they don’t want to lose him, they wouldn’t just let him come back. They have to make an example of him to send a message to other employees that those kinds of behaviors are not accepted.

Secondly, he keeps saying he’s doing his show to help people. That he gives hope to those people in need. Hah! He feeds into people’s desperation! In a country where more than half the population is below the poverty level, giving them false hope is, for me, abominable. Why? You have hundreds or thousands of people waiting in line for days to have a shot at something. Maybe they get in, maybe not. If they do, HE decides and manipulates who the winner is and what that person can win. He has this god-complex. He has been saying over and over that he is doing everything for the people. Fuck that! Who’s getting paid millions? Who lives comfortably in a mansion? Who has a yacht and other luxuries most people want? It’s him and not those people who line up and dream for days!

“Siguro… pinepersonal na ako. Yung totoo lang ang puwede nating sabihin… Kasi pag nagsisinungaling tayo, ewan ko kung makakatulog ka sa gabi-gabi. Habang buhay mong dadalhin yan. Ako napakalinis ng kunsensya ko. Wala akong nararamdaman ni isang kaba. Nakakaharap ako kahit kanino. Nakataas noo ako kahit kanino, maliit o mataas, kasi in my heart, in my conscience, in my soul, sa mata ng Diyos, kahit sa mata ng tao, alam Niya kung ano ang totoo at alam mo ‘yan,” pagwawakas ni Willie.

He doesn’t lie cuz if he does he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night? Well isn’t that the biggest LIE of all? C’mon! People won’t believe that just cuz you tell them you don’t lie! Ooohh, his conscience is so clean that he can face anyone even god with head held high! Arrogant much, eh?

I think I’ll add another word to describe him. I said he is arrogant, feels entitled, and here’s the other one: narcissistic. To be able to turn every event, every statement, every action to be all about you and you alone, that is NARCISSISM. And Wille is one Narcissistic Asshole. That’s why I don’t like him. ‘Nuff said!
